Aladdin grew up in an orphanage, never knowing why his parents abandoned him. He ran away from 'home' at the age of seven, living on the streets. He never had any money, finding a job in Agrabah is difficult, so he sought out to steal the necessities for everyday life (food, water, etc). This often got him into trouble with the law, being thrown into jail numerous times, but always charming his way out or somehow escaping. As a young boy Aladdin never had any friends, no one really related to him or liked him, this is still the case now. Aladdin dreams of finding his parents, although he hates them for abandoning him, he still wants to know if they're alive.
